Brett Girard, CPA, has been promoted to the position of Senior Auditor in the audit department. Brett graduated from Michigan Technological University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with accounting and marketing majors. He joined the firm’s audit department in 2009 and received his Certified Public Accountant’s license in 2011. Brett currently resides in Marquette.

Kara Katona, CPA, has been promoted to Manager in the tax department. Kara graduated summa cum laude from Northern Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting/computer information systems.  She joined the firm’s tax department in 2005 and received her Certified Public Accountant’s license in 2006.  Kara is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the United Way of Marquette County and is a member of Marquette Noon Kiwanis and the Economic Club of Marquette County.  She resides in Negaunee Township with her husband, Chris.
